From an installation on November 25, 2009, as the new Tempstar T9MVX, Two-stage Variable-speed furnace fired up on low fire: The  Wilsons asked Andy and Gregg, our installers, "Is it heating?"  Yes, it is on low fire, wait a few minutes and we will show you high fire.  When the furnace shifted to high fire, they commented that they couldn't believe how quiet the new furnace was.  Their tax credit will be $755.00.   From an installation in June of 2009, Mark Keller of New Bremen invested in a Tempstar 95% two-stage variable speed gas furnace and a two-stage heat pump.
